In 2001, Jo (Smith) and I were the first to measure, design, install and coordinate the site for the inaugural event held on the newly refurbished South Bank, London, between Waterloo Bridge and the Oxo Tower. The festival was scheduled for the weekend 14th, 15th, 16th September 2001. Our site, was (virtually) the only part of the event that subsequently took place, due to world events beyond our control.
